Hi! We're back! Bigger & Better and more interactive than ever before!
Whilst we've been busy re-developing, we've grown more & more convinced about the need for the AboutMyArea/HU18 website... so please read on:

Just take a walk, or take a drive and look around you...
Do you see those posters in shop windows? Do you see all those little signs next to the side of the road? The signs for H.A.T.S, the signs for Open Gardens, School Fete's, Flower Festivals, Church Gala's?
All worthy events. Events that make our world go around and all of which maybe just require that extra bit of publicity whilst at the same time needing to keep an eye on their costs...
AboutMyArea/HU18 is here to help publicise such LOCAL events for LOCAL groups at ZERO cost
We acknowledge that LOCAL folk are already working hard and giving their time to make every event or activity a success - and that maybe they might just need a helping hand to broadcast their activities to a wider audience
Are YOU one of those folks?
AboutMyArea/HU18 is offering YOU a Web based platform through which YOU can inform YOUR Community exactly what YOU'RE doing - and it's Free!

The problem for us is that when we see a poster, or a sign by the side of the road, we don't always know who to contact to get more information. So we need YOU to stick-your-hand-up and to contact us!
How does AboutMyArea/HU18 keep going?
Simple really. First, we give YOU what you want, then you keep coming back for more. Once that's done, hopefully a few local businesses will join-in and give us their backing in return for a bit of cheap advertising space!
So... How do you receive what you want to know? Easy! Add it on Yourself!
The easiest way in which to provide you with what you want is to let you write the content for yourself! If you think that something is interesting or important then, chances are, other people will too! We therefore came up with the idea of "Community Networking" (we've called it iMyArea)... so please, follow the links to iMyArea and find out more about it. We really do need your help to make it all come together!
Five Ways in which YOU could Get Involved!

Come on & Join in! Whether you want to become a Sub-Editor (even run your own team of Contributors!). Or whether you just want to be a Contributor and post a few articles every now & then... Even if you just want to be able to comment on some of the articles posted on the website... the first step is to Register! It's free, and we'd love to have you on board. It's your community, your website, your voice.
Tell us about your event. We'll include it in our calendar, we can even cover the event in our local news section. Send us the details for us to publish, or become a contributor and create your own online presence.

List your information free of charge. E-mail us with details, or sign up to Community Networking and you can have your own space on the site to keep the community in touch with your activities.

Reach your local community by advertising with AboutMyArea/HU18. We can tailor the right package for your business, everything from a directory listing through to your own SmartSite. We'll even design it for you! Simply E-mail us for more details.

What would you like to see on the AboutMyArea/HU18 website? Do you know of some local information that you think needs to be shared? Do you feel that there is something missing? We welcome all feedback, so whatever your suggestion please feel free to send us an email and let us know!
