Police appeal following an attempted indecent assault in Eastleigh

Police are appealing for information following an attempted indecent assault on a woman in her 30s in a side street off Southampton Road, Eastleigh.
The incident occurred sometime between 12 and 12.30am on Wednesday, April 30.
The woman was approached by a man who pulled her into South Street, the woman fought back and eventually her attacker ran away down Southampton Road towards the train station.
The woman sustained bruises and grazes which did not require medical attention as a result of the incident.
The man is described as:
White
In his 20s or 30s
6ft to 6ft 2ins tall
Short brown hair which was gelled and spiky at the top
Dressed in black clothing
Detective Constable Jon Davies of Eastleigh CID said: "The woman bravely fought off her attacker and fortunately received only minor injuries. I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the woman or her attacker, or has any information, to contact us."
