Season's Greetings and Festive Cheer
Twelve vet's tips for a pleasant New Year:
Tip 1 is for the little ones; don't let them climb that tree
Because this time next year they may not be so wee!
Tip 2 is for those cats, dogs and rabbits that so like to chew
Please keep all your electric wires safely out of view!
Tip 3 is for the chocolate novelties hanging from the tree
Remember they are poisonous for the dog (but obviously not for me!)
Tip 4 is to keep all those brand new tiny toys up off the floor
We don't want your dog or cat to eat them and more.
Tip 5 is with lots of extra visitors in and out of your drive
Please keep your pets in behind closed doors, we want them to stay alive!
Tip 6 is not to give your pooch too much gravy, sauce or cream to lick
Because chances are later on it will make him really sick.
Tip 7 is that too much turkey for lunch may well be doggy heaven
But not when it's turned to tummy trouble by seven!
Tip 8 is not to be tempted to give you pet all the leftovers nobody ate
Or he may start the New Year considerably overweight.
Tip 9 is that if you gift is a pet this season: please bear this in mind
All the costs involved, the commitment and the time!
Tip 10 is if there's going to be fireworks and party poppers after ten
Do make sure your dog has his DAP and his den.
Tip 11 is not to overfeed your dog at nine and then out running at eleven,
This can cause real problems and he may end up in doggy heaven.
Tip 12 is to warn you that kittens & puppies find tinsel quite yummy
And often we end up having to get it back out of their tummy!
Merry Christmas everyone!
