Solent Mobility Centre, in the High Street Lee on Solent, are holding a charity event from 10am until 4pm on Wednesday, 20th December, offering mulled wine and mince pies to shoppers.
This event is in aid of The Haven at Titchfield, a charity that supports breast cancer patients in our region. The Mayor of Gosport, Councillor Linda Batty will also be visiting the High Street shop to talk with shoppers and support this event.
The family run mobility business likes to give something back to the community it lives and works in and this year is no exception. For every £1 raised Solent Mobility will match it, doubling the donation.
Mince Pies and Mulled wine are free and there will be a raffle with many prizes to be won, plus the traditional wishing well in the window for passers by to donate to the charity.
Debbie Watts, one of the directors at Solent Mobility said; “We do charity events throughout the year and always at Christmas we like to invite shoppers in and give a little Christmas spirit with refreshments and a warm welcome.
“The Haven at Titchfield is a charity offering support to breast cancer patients, a place to relax in a friendly environment and talk about their thoughts and feelings when going through their treatment.
