Another review of Beauty & the Beast

Beauty & the Beast has to be one of children's favourite movies to watch at home, last night Fareham's Ferneham Hall brought it all to life.
Wow, the band started who were brilliant all the way through with plenty of well-known tunes and all the sound effects which help the calamity action come alive.
The show opens with Fairy Formidable (Claire Greenway or Clairy Fairy as she has become to be known) who with her French accent really sets the scene and gives us our first glimpse of what is going on.
Then we meet with Potty Pierre (Ian ‘H' Watkins) who stirs the audience up a treat. If you thought you could bring the kid's along and sit there for an hour and a half you were wrong. As introductions were made and tales were told of who they were the excitement continued to build.
There was lots of cheering for Potty and Dame Dotty (Chris Casserly), who kept the excitement going of what was going to happen next, as well as what would the Dame be wearing next. All the excitement had the audience young and old hooked on the edge of their seats.
You must not forget the pantomime baddy Malevolent (Samantha Hughes) who dressed in her slender green gown was amazing, as the crowed continue to hiss and boo so she continue to talk in rhyme which never faltered once.
Congratulations to Jean Jacques (Steven Pinder), as he continued to sing beautifully while Potty and Dotty stirred the audience more and more by coming out to the audience, he kept his composure and hit every note, a huge well done.
We must not forget Beauty (Zoe Nicole Adkin) who with her lovely voice and gorgeous smile really is Beauty, then there is Prince Gallant/The Beast (Adam McNab) who I have never heard of before but certainly hope to see again with his truly staggering voice.
So with lots of cheesy jokes and even more cheesy songs we left feeling festive and ready for Christmas, if you haven't got tickets yet what you waiting for? Well worth a trip.
