Royal Marines Battle for Young Musician of the Year

Musicians from the Royal Marines School of Music will be battling to be the best during the Young Musician of the Year Competition. This prestigious annual event is being held, for the first time, at HMS Collingwood in Fareham.
The night will include 7 stunning solo performances from some of the brightest musical talents in the Band Service, plus the Royal Marines School of Music Big Band, under the direction of Mr Gordon Campbell, will lift the roof with some Big Band classics.
The world famous trumpet player Derek Watkins, who has just finished recording the theme tune for ‘Skyfall', the new James Bond movie, will be one of the judges during the competition and he'll be giving a very special performance with the Big Band, making this an exhilarating evening of musical excellence and entertainment.
