Hovercraft Museum Trust Presents Museums At Night
| Author: annahowelll | Published: 14th May 2012 11:47 |
The Hovercraft Museum Trust is participating in this year's Museums at Night festival - a campaign spearheaded by Culture 24. The open evening follows on from the huge success of 2010 when the Museum last threw open its gates during the twilight hours.
Providing a great photographic opportunity - you will have the chance to discover these eccentric machines of transport in a lighted display not normally seen by the public!
Under the shelter of hangars you can explore craft of all shapes & sizes which span the history of this Great British invention. Step outside and gaze at the foreboding sight of floodlit cross-channel hovercraft with their giant propellers looming high overhead - and witness our unique 'Twin Prop' SR.N6 illuminated like never before!
You will be warmly received on this special night with a free bowl of homemade vegetarian Soup & Roll which will keep you glowing whilst you wander around our exclusive collection. Other refreshments on offer will include various beverages - homemade Chilli, Cakes, Cookies & Crepes!
Entertainment will be provided by a live Brass Band playing an eclectic mix of tunes - and further entertainment is planned for the evening.
Don't miss out on this after dark opportunity to view the worlds only haven of historic hovercraft!
