In June there were 539 brand new charities registered, 144 as grant makers to other charities.
Of those, 10 are particularly noteworthy, including The Novak Djokovic Foundation, with the man in question battling Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray.
The July meeting of the Fundraising Club will tell you how to find out who these new Trusts are.
Well worth coming just for that. But there is more!
Mewmbers are very welcome and can join in the topics:"Ways of networking", "Reporting Social Impact" and "How can I engage the funder when filling in the Application Form"
A member asked "How can I find out about funding from my local council?" so that will be discussed too.
In July we look at types of proven succesful events that other charities have run with success. Including 1,000 Candle Festival, Festival of Flowers, Half marathons and more.
The project that the members are having fun with is how to fill a room with 100 prospective supporters and how to ask each to give £2 per week to your cause. That's £10,000 a year!
