New owners of the Portsmouth and Waterlooville Curves fitness club have launched a new 100 Club to recognise its members' achievements.
Members of the all ladies' fitness clubs at Waterlooville and Northend, Portsmouth, came along to meet the new owners, Janine and Glynn Catterall, wearing the number of workouts they have acheived emblazoned on their t shirts.
The ladies all enjoyed a drink and a chance to chat to each other in a relaxed atmosphere as well raise any questions to the new management team.
At Waterlooville, opened for four years, 536 ladies qualified for the 100 club with 145 ladies qualifying at the newer Portsmouth club. Sixteen of those members have completed more than 500 workouts, four over 600 and two exceptional ladies have completed more than 700 work outs.
Janine said, "‘We wanted to celebrate their commitment to their health and also take the opportunity to meet the members and start to get to know them."
Glynn, who previously worked at IBM, said, "Some of the stories we heard today have been inspirational."
