Portsmouth's largest taxi company has moved into a new £1.9million purpose built premises.
Aqua cars, based on Somers Road since 1990, relocated on Tuesday, November 9 to Partnership Business Park, Rodney Road, Fratton.
Barry Leng Joint owner of Aqua Cars, said: "We wanted better facilities for our staff because where we are now is not great in terms of providing a relaxed working environment."
"It was all about prioritising the space [and] the company as a whole will function better."
"At the moment the rooms are fulfilling multiple functions which is chaotic for everyone."
Individual function rooms for the running of the company including, a call centre, dispatch and admin rooms, quiet room and a reception for the public, were bought with the idea of taking on more staff.
The company which began with only 14 taxis in service now has a circulation of 700 cars and estimates somewhere in the region of 100,000 pickups a week.
Mr Leng said: "If the move goes well, we are thinking of expanding out to Gosport once the new office is set up."
