Google Street Map Car Comes to Cosham

Cosham will soon be on view for the whole world to see when photos from Google's Street Map car are used to give visitors a virtual tour of the area.

The car was spotted in Medina Road this afternoon at around 3.30pm. The car  also visited Whippingham Close and then Greenwood Avenue.

Google Street View launched in the UK on March 19, featuring 25 cities, including London, Edinburgh, Belfast, Liverpool and Southampton.

The driver of the car said that by the time the discs had been returned and checked, it would probably be six months before the images are seen on Google.
