Easter at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

 Enjoy a full day out at the unforgettable Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for an Easter extravaganza of activities, trails, arts and crafts during the school-break, including the chance to win some tasty treats!

The family friendly Easter programme runs from Saturday 31st - Sunday 15th April, kick-started with a Model Boat Weekend as an added value event for ticket holders and continuing with a range of activities from transforming into Tudors, shivering timbers with Victorian storytelling, discovering Captains of the Antarctic, exploring shipwrecks and enjoying a whole host of crafts and games. 

For the curious and adventurous, the Easter bunny has paid a visit to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard leaving a trail of mischief behind... Visitors can help solve his nautical themed clues and receive a small prize for their detective work, by taking part in the self-guided Easter Egg trail on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th April. Plus, once all the clues are answered a hidden keyword will grant access into a fantastic prize draw!

From the 1st of April, the Big Ticket will return, allowing visitors to explore heritage sites around the harbour for as little as £5 more. Including admission to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower, plus Waterbus transfers. This ticket can be purchased until the end of October.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is also pleased to announce that under 7s will go free from the 1st of April, plus visitors booking their tickets online will receive a 10% discount during the holiday period!

The ticket for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard includes entrance for 1 year (entry to the Mary Rose Museum is valid until 30th September 2012). Tickets cost adults £23.50, seniors and students £20.35, children £17.80 and a family ticket costs £69.50 (up to 5 members of the same family with a maximum of 2 adults or seniors). Entrance to the Historic Dockyard is free for those wishing to visit the retailers, cafes and Antiques Storehouse.

Model Boat Weekend

at Action Stations and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Action Stations and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard are pleased to welcome the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team (PMBDT). PMBDT will be showcasing their extensive range of model boats within Action Stations, which includes, lifeboats, vintage and film models. There will also be some exciting model boat displays on the Mast Pond with galleons, submarines and landing crafts. With gun firing and a lively commentary, these displays will be brought to life!

A fantastic fun-filled event for the whole family and it is FREE with a valid ticket!

Once the lower deck mess and schoolroom for young officers, Warrior's Gun Room is now somewhere you can bring your young "sailors" for R&R.  This half term, enjoy pirate art and craft, costumed role play as sailors swabbing the decks and colouring and quiz sheets.

Self-guided Easter Trail across all of the attractions at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The Easter Bunny has hopped all over Portsmouth Historic Dockyard leaving a trail of Eastery mischief behind him.

Help solve the nautical themed questions to discover the answers and receive a small prize for your Easter Egg Detective work in each venue.

Once all the clues are answered in every attraction a hidden keyword will reveal itself.
