Visualising future landscapes: Portsmouth in the year 3000

Dr Mark HardimanDr Mark Hardiman from the University of Portsmouth's geography department will be speaking at Cafe Scientifique on Tuesday 23 May at Le Cafe Parisien.
Entitled Visualising future landscapes; Portsmouth in the year 3000, Dr Hardiman will discuss how scientists predict unprecedented climatic changes over the next thousand years and a world landscape which will be significantly altered.
Dr Hardiman will consider what Portsmouth will look like in the year 3000 AD and put these changes into context by considering how this area has changed in the geological past.
Café Scientifique is a series of talks held monthly at Le Café Parisien on Lord Montgomery Way. Admission is free and the discussion on Tuesday 23 May will start at 7.30pm. More information is available from organiser Maricar Jagger on 023 9284 3757.
