Some of Fatima Pantoja's workAn artist who exhibits at a local art gallery will be painting portraits on the Boardwalk this coming bank holiday.
Fatima Pantoja whose work can be seen at Above the Blue will be inviting visitors to have their portrait painted in traditional charcoal/pastel or drawn on the computer as a digital image - just like David Hockney's recent work.
Lynn Pickett, owner of the gallery said, "Spanish-born, Fatima is a highly trained artist with a wonderful talent for portrait painting, capturing the character of a person very quickly.
She will be painting on the Boardwalk at Port Solent on the Spring Bank Holiday (4 June) & on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee (5 June), from 11am on both days.
Lynn added, "Watching her work will be fascinating in itself and I'm sure when you see the quality of her paintings, you'll be tempted to take the plunge. What an opportunity to have a high quality original portrait hanging on your wall or to give away as a gift perhaps. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a painting of your children or grandchildren - so much more special than a photograph."
