Torment: Live scare attraction

Portsmouth has once again proved to be an attractive destination for event organisers, as it was announced that a brand new award winning event will be coming to the city during October Half Term.
Wave 105 has partnered with multi award-winning immersive event specialists, Secrets Beneath, to launch Torment Live Scare Attraction, a unique Halloween event for those aged 13 years old and upwards, which will be held at Gunwharf Quays. Torment is a 7000 square foot walk through Halloween experience themed as a Victorian manor house.
Scare attractions, typically seen at venues such as Thorpe Park and Alton Towers, bring together live actors, custom built scenery, special effects and a huge dose of screams and laughs to create an immersive experience the likes of which has never been seen before on the South coast.
Torment dares the public to set foot into the haunted house of the twisted Lord Earlsford. In sheer desperation following the death of his young family, he unwittingly unleashed a host of evil demons into his home, where they stalk the halls in search of prey. Those taking on the dare may escape... but not with their nerves intact!
Keith Penny, Enterprise and Events Director at Wave 105, said: "Wave 105 has spent several years turning our vision for a major new Halloween event into reality. We're thrilled to have secured a partnership with Secrets Beneath, who have years of experience in producing the very best immersive attractions, and of course Gunwharf Quays , which as the south's premium retail and leisure outlet, represents the perfect location for us."
Chris Colin, Managing Director of Secrets Beneath said: "We can't wait to bring our award winning attraction to Gunwharf Quays, and to align ourselves with Wave 105. It's a fantastic opportunity for the three parties to bring a truly unique event to the South."
