About Us
Welcome to the AboutMyArea PO6 website which was launched in March 2006. This is your local community website that is run "by the community, for the community".
I started the site because I wanted to do something that both benefited my community and was something that I could fit around my family. I absolutely love working on it and thanks to our ever-increasing collection of community members, the site is going from strength to strength.
We welcome contributions from all sections of the local community and you can email me Now with any local news stories, events, sports, restaurant reviews, charity events etc. Do you run a mother and toddler group, youth club or exercise class? E-mail me all the details now. Photographs in and around our community are always appreciated, especially of events that you have attended in the area.
We are also looking for local heros....Do you know anyone in the local community who has raised a lot of money for charity or gone over and above the call of duty? Email Me Now and I will inform the whole community!
