Spinnaker Tower Challenges Visitors To Reach New Heights

Author: elliestokes Published: 5th July 2012 12:01

Wii Olympics at the Spinnaker Tower

The Spinnaker Tower is inviting its visitors to Aim High this summer in a series of weekly special competitions and challenges, ranging from video game victories to tarantula holding triumphs! To launch the summer holiday activities, from 24 July to 9 August, the Spinnaker Tower will be hosting a Wii Olympics, with eager gamers encouraged to compete for the top scoring spot.

The sporty theme continues as visitors are invited to step up to the challenge of a virtual stair climb! Complete the equivalent of our 560 stair challenge between 24 and 30 August on the breath-taking view deck with stepper gym equipment, surrounded by the stunning panoramic views, 100 metres above Portsmouth Harbour.

Fridays will be dedicated to ‘Face your Fears Fridays', with a different daring challenge for visitors to encounter every week. Activities lined up include getting hands on with creatures great and small, with creepy-crawly bugs and shuddersome sea creatures joining visitors on the view decks.

Sarah Webb, general manager at the Spinnaker Tower, commented: "Aim High is designed to inspire and encourage our visitors to try new things and discover skills they never knew they had! It will be six weeks of challenges, races, thrills and above all, amazing achievements."

The Spinnaker Tower is open daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm (excluding Christmas Day). See www.spinnakertower.co.uk or call 02392 857520 to book in advance or to find out more!
