The credit union aims to help the people of Winchester District, especially those who are excluded from high street financial institutions, such as banks, building societies and companies supplying insurance and other financial services.
Winchester Savers, a money co-op that provides safe savings accounts and offers affordable loans, has the wholehearted support of Winchester City Council, which supplies part of its funding; it also has the support of A2 Housing, the Co-op, the Lottery and Comic Relief.
