It's funny how you can live in a place for a long time without getting to know more about it. You walk or drive past local shops and offices for years without any idea of what is really going on in our community! Or you find out too late that there was something happening in the community that was of interest to you!
This is where AboutMyArea steps in. We hope to become the one-stop shop for local news, events and business and community information.
AboutMyArea aims to gather all of the information for the local community, so you don't have to waste time searching. If you can't find what you're looking for or wish to share information with the rest of the community, please send an email to winchester@aboutmyarea.co.uk or telephone one of the numbers below to let us know and we'll do our best to add it.
SUPPORTING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Aboutmyarea provides a FREE platform to help promote and support Local Clubs, Charities & School Events or any other non-profit making organisation.
If you know of a local club or charity that would like to have their details included and any features published on the site completely FREE please send an email to winchester@aboutmyarea.co.uk or telephone one of the numbers below.
Being local residents we like to think that we will be able to provide the BEST local community information, unlike some national information websites. We will be working our way around the local community to get information, so please keep coming back to see the site grow.
We also believe that a good relationship between local business and community organisations helps promote a strong and healthy community. Another key aim is therefore to make it easy for you to find and use local businesses, so you will find an easy to use A to Z business listing.
Please note the business directory is a work in progress and will start to fill up over the coming weeks.
