Clowning Around Brookmeadow Park
| Published: 10th July 2007 15:50 |
Saturday 7 July saw the Elstree & Borehamwood Town Festival come to an end with a big Families Day held at Brookmeadow Park. Saturday was the first warm day (albeit a bit windy!) that we have had in a long time. Many people took advantage of the good weather and spent the day going on rides, watching animal and dancing displays, supporting local charities and of course getting a balloon transformed into a variety of shapes.
If you saw or stopped to talk to a person dressed in red, black and white with a red clown wig on it was me you saw or spoke to – your local community Editor. I spent most of Saturday walking around the park handing out leaflets to everyone and of course the basket of sweets went down well too, not just with the kids I might add!
