The Borehamwood and Elstree Twinning Association (BETTA) has teamed up with The Offenburg School of Arts in Offenburg, the area where Elstree & Borehamwood's twin town of Fontenay Aux Roses lies.
Every year during the first week of September The Offenburg School of Arts runs a week long project called Summer Academy where workshops are offered for mainly adults in various fields of art.
For September 2008, The Offenburg School of Arts is looking for professional artists (applied/fine and/or visual arts) from Elstree and Borehamwood who would be interested in becoming a tutor during the Summer Academy week.
They are looking for somebody whose talents lie as a painter or water colourist, clay sculpturing, drawing, illustrating or even a metal/gold smith or any other "old fashioned" crafts like glass painter or printmaker etc.
The artist will receive an appropriate fee for their work and The Offenburg School of Arts will try and help financially with accommodation and travel expenses and will arrange all necessary press communication via flyers, articles in local newspapers etc.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an artist to share their knowledge and talent with other people and also have a chance to display their work on the premises.
If you are interested in applying for this position, then please email the secretary of BETTA, Anthony Scott-Norman on telephone him on 020 8953 3185 (after 5 pm) or 0796 200 3542.
