New Child Seat Laws

From 18 September 2006 the law will require all children aged from 3 years and up to 135cm (approx 4'5") in height, to use a booster seat and cushion when travelling in a car, vans and other goods vehicles.

It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that children under 14 are correctly restrained in the vehicle.

Failing to correctly restrain children can lead to a £30 fine or if it goes to court £500.
