From 12th July until 30th August Hitchin Museum presents, "Game Set and Match", an exhibition all about sport in the past (and present) in Hitchin.
The Museum has worked in partnership with clubs and individuals, including Hitchin Rugby Club, Tennis Club and the Blueharts Hockey Club, to present the history of the clubs in words and pictures and through objects. There are also many objects on display from the Museum collection, covering a huge array of sports.
There will also be things to do for children including table football, basketball hoop, colouring in and more. Through the Summer holidays there will also be weekly children's activities to tie in with the exhibition including historic toys and games and blow football making!
Hitchin Museum is open from 10am to 5pm daily (except Wed and Sun).
