Event in Aid of Hitchin Helping Hands (13 September 2008)

On Saturday 13th September, Hitchin Helping Hands will be in the old market square from 8am onwards. Their aim is to raise funds for a new mini bus, and as such there will be a bric a brac stall, a cake stall, tombola, and a stall selling Dennis's English pickled onions.The Rotary Club of Hitchin Tilehouse will also be present as they are having an Awareness Day to publicise their sponsored walk " Back to the Source", which follows the River Thames back to its source. All proceeds from the walk will go towards the purchase of a new mini bus for Hitchin Helping Hands.

I am pleased to announce that the stalls run by Hitchin Helping Hands raised £843, and the total amount raised with the help of the stalls and activities run by The Rotary Club of Hitchin Tilehouse came to £2200.
