Enjoy Rhythms of the World

Hundreds of people are expected to visit Hitchin this weekend (July 12 and 13) for the Rhythms of the World music event at The Priory.
Inspector Julie Wheatley said: "This is very much a community event and we want people to have a good time, I would ask however that people are sensible and safe. There will be a police presence at the event and in the town, we will also be handing out crime prevention and safety advice at the event so please do come and speak to the team.
"Enforcement to deal with issues of anti-social behaviour on Windmill Hill will continue during the weekend as will a police presence in the town centre to deal with any alcohol related disturbances. I would also like to appeal to parents and shop owners that they take every precaution to ensure under 18s do not obtain alcohol."
