The Big Draw 2008: Local Events

The Campaign for Drawing has one aim - to get everyone drawing and The Big Draw invites everyone to join in, using drawing to engage with the past, present and future. The ninth Big Draw runs from 1 to 31 October 2008 and 1000 venues across the UK have organised drawing activities for people of all abilities, including the following three in Hitchin:

Event title: "The Big Draw"
Description: Play with and draw games and toys of Victorian Times. Dress as a Victorian child, play with the museum's wonderful collection of old toys and games then draw them.
Audience: Children aged 5 and over

Event title: "Markit!"
Description: To celebrate the relaunching of Hitchin outdoor market come to the Hitchin Initiative stall and make a print of your purchases - bananas, teapots, fish, ribbons, pot plants - whichever purchases are in your bag!
