50th Year Reunion at Latymer, Edmonton

Reunions at Latymer, Edmonton

The Latymer School Badge

We at AboutMyArea have been asked whether we can help trace any former pupils who attended the Latymer School, Haselbury Road, Edmonton, London N9.  More specifically this year, those eleven-year-olds who started in September 1958 or September 1963.

The summer of 2013 marks the 55th anniversary of the 1958 starters, and the 50th anniversary of the 1963 starters, and plans are under way for a reunion for each of those years at this year's Old Students' Day (Saturday 13th July 2013).

With approximately 180 people to find from each year, many of whom are spread not only throughout the country, but even throughout the world, AMA is recognised as a good medium to try and find any who cannot be traced via the Old Students Association or Friends Reunited.

Therefore, on behalf of the organisers, if you, or anyone you know attended Latymer, do please get in touch.  Even if you're not interested yourself, the chances are that you are still in contact with old school friends who would like to attend.

For the 1958 reunion, please contact Jill Holmes (nee Rodwell) at jillyflower47@hotmail.com, or for the 1963 reunion, your contact is Janet Bird (nee Beard) at janet_l_bird@hotmail.com (that is "janet_l_bird" using the underscores if you type it from scratch).

For both contacts, please try to use the word "Latymer" in the subject box.

The 'Old Students' Day' is a general day for all former pupils, so if you or anyone you know has a connection with Latymer, but not for those specific years, please get in touch with the Latymer Old Students' Association (LOSA).
