Benchmarking Hoddesdon with Action for Market Towns and the University of Hertfordshire.
Hi there, I'm Andrew Smith and I'm working for the University of Hertfordshire. Together with Mike King, a senior representative from AMT (Action for Market Towns) which is a registered charity and membership organisation helping to renew and regenerate England's towns, we are undertaking a town centre benchmarking project for Hoddesdon as well as six other towns around Hertfordshire.
So, CAN YOU HELP?
As mentioned above, "Action for Market Towns" and the University of Hertfordshire are conducting a Benchmarking exercise in Hoddesdon Town Centre. This includes gathering data and information on key performance indicators within the town such as retail offering, footfall, car parking, business confidence, shopper origin and town centre user views.
Hoddesdon Town Centre
Over the past few weeks I have been collecting a range of insightful and vital information all about Hoddesdon's Town Centre. All this information will come together in the Hoddesdon Benchmarking Report being produced for the local (Broxbourne) council which measures the town's performance on a range of scales and indicators.
The key part which you can help with is a short Town Centre User Survey where we can build up a picture of how you rate the town centre - from its range of shops and cultural activities to its physical appearance - and give recommendations of how to improve it. Whether you visit the Town Centre daily, monthly or not at all, we would greatly appreciate 2 minutes of your time to complete the survey.
If you have any questions about the survey or about benchmarking as a whole, please contact me ( sa3andy@gmail.com ).
I look forward to hearing your opinions and suggestions.
