KEEP YOUR CHRISTMAS GOODIES SAFE WITH ‘IMMOBILISE'
IF YOU got a new bike, MP3 player or laptop for Christmas, just think how you would feel if your most prized possession went missing or was even stolen?
The best way to recover lost or stolen property is to have it marked and registered on a property database website such as http://www.immobilise.com/.
Over the coming weeks, officers from Broxbourne's Safer Neighbourhood Action Team will be offering to ‘immobilise' items by registering them on the site, which helps police and other agencies to trace the owners of property that is recovered.
Police Community Support Officer Adrian Pomfrett said: "This time of year people are enjoying the gifts they got for Christmas, which are often treasured and expensive items. By simply registering these items on the immobilise website you can provide extra protection for your valuables.
"We've been using the ‘immobilise' website for several months now, registering over 600 items. It has already helped us to return many items like bikes and mobile phones to their owners."
If you want to protect your property and have piece of mind, please contact PCSO Adrian Pomfrett on Adrian.pomfrett@herts.pnn.police.uk or call on 0845 33 00 222 to arrange a time to have your property marked and added to the Immobilise website.
