Following on from the success of last year's Hertfordshire Charity Golf Day teams are being invited to sign up, to help raise vital funds for the National Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).
Being held on 5 October 2012, a number of businesses and individuals from the region have already signed up to compete, and there are still places for teams remaining; so to be a part of this event you must register quickly.
Hosted again this year at the championship golf course -The Grove in Chandler's Cross, teams will start the day with a full English breakfast, followed by 18 holes of golf. There will be competitions and prizes throughout the day and a light lunch will also be provided when the golfers reach the halfway house. The event will end with a three course evening meal, live auction and prize giving.
Sam Hutchinson, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager said: "Following on from last year's fantastic golf day which raised £15,000, we are delighted that The Grove are kindly hosting our 2012 event which is set to be a brilliant day for everyone.
"There are still tickets available, priced at £975 for a team of four, but we're encouraging people to sign up quickly so as not to lose out on a place.
"We are aiming to raise around £22,000 which will go towards NSPCC and ChildLine services, which are so often a lifeline to children and young people. For more information on how to get involved please get in touch or visit our website for more details."
Sam Hutchinson, added: "As well as the opportunity to enter a team to take part, there are also many sponsorship opportunities for local businesses or individuals starting from £200. Alternatively individuals or businesses can apply for a half page advert at £75, or whole page advertisement at £100 in the Golf Day Programme. We would be delighted to discuss any requirements if people want to get in touch."
