Step It Up Highland has helped to establish over 20 Walking Groups throughout the Highlands, from Tain to Fort William.
Anyone can join these groups as walks are gentle, free and require nothing but comfortable shoes and a waterproof jacket. All walks are low level and about an hour long.
This makes them ideal for people who would like to become active after long sedentary periods and Step It Up Highland are keen for health workers to refer patients.
All groups have fully qualified leaders and Step It Up Highland is always looking to train and equip enthusiastic volunteers for these roles.
Leaders will often point out interesting features in the beautiful Highland scenery and will know where to stop for the customary and well-deserved cup of tea and chat after the walk!![]()
