Cancer Research UK Relay For Life Inverness is an event to celebrate cancer survivors and to pay tribute to those touched by cancer. Over a period of 24 hours teams of 8-15 people take turns in walking (or running) around the Inverness Leisure Sports Track raising money for Cancer Research UK. Teams get the opportunity to take part in the various games and races arranged for them, and everyone is invited to the Sports Track to listen to bands and watch the entertainment scheduled.
The event commences at 12noon on Saturday 23rd August and continues until Sunday 24th August at 12noon. Relay For Life will be held at Inverness Leisure.
The two highlights of the event are the Survivors' Lap of Honour, which opens the event, and a tribute to those lost through cancer in a Candle of Hope Ceremony, scheduled to take place at 9.30pm.
This event is open to everyone, so come along and listen to local bands and take part in the activities available.
Together we will beat cancer.
