Earn Cash by Taking Savings

We've been looking at earning cash for taking surveys, so I thought I would provide you with some hints and tips!
- Join as many as you can! This is to ensure you receive lots of invitations and therefore lots of opportunities to earn! I keep an address book (the alphabetical kind) with all the sites I am a member of and the login details for each site. This is a great idea if you have a poor memory, like me!
- Check your emails for invitations to take surveys every day! Often only a limited number of completed surveys are required and these often fill up fast!
- You won't always be eligible and will soon be screened out of the survey, if this is the case. Ineligibility could be for a number of reasons, for example: you could be the in the wrong age group, the wrong sex, live in the wrong area, you may not have children or use a certain type of product or service or it could be that you work in a linked occupation. For example, you would not be eligible to take a mobile phone survey if you worked in a mobile phone shop and you will almost definitely be screened out of almost all surveys if you say you work in marketing, market research, retail, manufacturing, PR, advertising or journalism, this is due to confidentiality and possible conflicts of interest.
- Never pay to for a list of sites to join or to join a paid survey itself! If you are asked for money, it is a scam! All the sites I use are completely free to join and participate in. They are supposed to be paying you, not the other way round!
- Whilst taking a survey, you may be asked if you'd allow your child, or one of them, to take one too! Your permission will always be sought and its a great way of getting the kids involved and they may even earn a little something too!
- Some sites will reward you with prize draw entries, and I wouldn't necessarily dismiss these sites as you often have more chance of winning a prize than you would have by entering a regular competition - I have won a few times and I personally know others that have won too! As someone who is often pressed for time, I tend to avoid the sites that only put you into a sweepstakes especially where members of lots of countries are entering too, as the odds of you winning a prize, will go down dramatically.
- Sometimes when taking a survey you may notice that you are redirected to a partner site, this is perfectly normal. (An example is Ciao and Test and Vote and some others, partner up with OTX to host film surveys.) If after completing a survey you are asked if you would like to join the partner site's panel, ALWAYS SAY YES! Sometimes, this can be the ONLY way to join the non-advertised panels - by invitation only!
- If you find you are continually not receiving invitations, or ones for which you are ineligible, I suggest that you to look at the profile you filled in when you joined that site. Is it complete? Is it up-to-date? Is it all correct? If your email address is incorrect, you won't receive any invitations! Don't forget to fill in the details of any children in your household as a lot of surveys are aimed at housewives with children.
Next time, we will be looking at how to earn cash from discussing your opinions at Focus Groups!
