If you are interested in other parts of the world but Mum and Dad have run out of suncream then why not log on to www.earth.google.com? You can zoom to anywhere in the world at the touch of a button- you can even take a close look at your back garden or your school!
Otherwise if you like learning about animals then there is always the Discovery.com website (www.animal.discovery.com/games/games.html) There is loads on here from from getting out of mazes, learning about Mah Jongg (which is a really old Chinese game) to directing your own movie on-line!
Learning isn't just in books and with the following sites you are also improving your maths and english skills- http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/numbertime/ and http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/starship/. Whilst you are looking around the BBC Schools site there are some other pages that you might like- www.bbc.co.uk/schools/laac where you can meet some really weird characters or www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing where you can type against the clock.
If you are normally caked in mud at the weekend, trying to score a goal or try, but the season is over or the weather is too bad to go outside, why not try some of the below which will save your Mum's washing powder and may just help you next time you are playing for real:
http://www.spikything.com/games/kickups/ and http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/funny_old_game/games/4654596.stm
You might be more into making music but don't worry if you haven't got an instrument at home, you can always log on to the below:
www.creatingmusic.com OR http://www.ababasoft.com/music/music02.html
Also pretty much all of your favourite TV characters have their own site and they nearly all have some really cool games on them . Here are just a few of them:
http://uk.noddy.com/site/ OR http://www.bobthebuilder.com/uk/index.html OR http://barbie.everythinggirl.com/ OR http://www.roarytheracingcar.com/ OR http://www.bratz.com/UK/
OR you just might want games and here are a couple sites where there are plenty of those: www.thekidzpage.com www.alfy.com.
