Your yearly horoscope
Of the twelve signs you are the most idealistic of them. On one hand you believe that with enough effort and inspiration you can create a life that's wonderful for you and those around you. Also, as a Pisces, you believe in others. You believe in the best in certain individuals and it takes a great deal for you to be persuaded otherwise.
However, as you've been made aware, life doesn't always work this way. The world around you isn't as idealistic and those individuals who you believe don't always live up to your hopes.
This year you'll be balancing those ideals and the amazing opportunities that come your way with the need to face certain harsh realities. On one hand you're superbly positioned to benefit both from thrilling developments and from the efforts of your own nature.
You'll find that others are both able and willing to give you a hand. Better yet, with the planet of growth and opportunity, Jupiter, accenting those plans you're making and the associates you'll be making them with, certain things just seem to fall into place.
This is a year of transition for you. As good as you may think certain arrangements are and as much as you admire certain individuals, you may have to face difficult facts. Or it could be that you set goals and are excited about them, but then discover that really those goals were more the ideals and objectives of others, not yours.
Pluto, moves into this part of your chart, in late January, and remains there until June, then returns to the midheaven angle of your chart, where it's been since 1995. You might consider this period a trial run, a period during which you take a chance on the unfamiliar or perhaps are forced to. Pluto returns to this part of your chart at the end of the year, beginning a long stay, one that will enable you to refine your goals, to consider what you want to achieve and because Pluto is the planet of transformation, to achieve those goals and to benefit in remarkable ways.
What may be most important, however, is because Pluto is the planet of truth, you'll realise that some of the developments that you've regarded as magical are actually the result of nothing more than your efforts, both in terms of your physical effort but even more so in terms of your attention and your focus.
As a Pisces, you'll often let others take credit for the efforts you make. Yet because Pluto is all about being true, being honest with yourself and others, you'll have to admit to yourself what you've achieved. In doing so, you'll gain something which has always been difficult for you, which is a feeling of power. Power over situations and even the power to persuade or lead others where before you felt that you simply had to win them over with charm or wait until the right moment.
This new power may feel awkward at first but gradually you'll become accustomed to it until, as this year comes to a close and the planet of ego and energy, Mars, actually meets Pluto, which will have just returned to accent these joint activities and your goals, you'll not only realise just how important your role in these is, but you'll assume a new kind of control and power. One that will both give you a much needed sense of accomplishment and a new optimism about what the future holds.
