Britons spend £12K on Gardens

The results of a nationwide survey have revealed that 91% of us will spend a whopping £11,890 of our hard earned cash on gardening equipment in our lifetime.
Put another way, this is half a year's average national salary, works out at £200 every year, and is equivalent to a standard family hatchback.
Of the average UK income of £32,779, 45% is spent on household goods, and for the vast majority, £200 a year is frittered on gardening equipment in an attempt to achieve the perfect lawn. No surprises that with climate change wreaking havoc on the seasons, this is becoming an increasingly unrealistic aspiration.
The makers of PrimaLawn have released the results of the national survey in an attempt to get people enjoying their gardens all year round.
Mark Rogers, PrimaLawn's marketing director, says: "PrimaLawn is so much more than just a lawn - it's healthier, environmentally friendly when compared to a maintained lawn, and leaves people with time - and money - to spend on things they actually enjoy. Joyless tasks like mowing and tackling boggy or parched patches can be a thing of the past. The kids won't drag mud through the house anymore, either!
"Practically every home improvement over the last thirty years has resulted in technically advanced, maintenance free solutions - PrimaLawn is no different. The threat of the hosepipe ban is abolished, those with hay fever have to suffer less, and pets can no longer dig up the fruits of your labours!"
