Will you be 'dining in' or 'stepping out' for epilepsy?

. . . Either way, there's lots of fun to be had this spring in aid of national charity, Epilepsy Action. There's a choice of two fantastic events - The Big Eat and the Out in the Open walk.
Both events take place during National Epilepsy Week (17-23 May). They share the goal of raising vital funds to help support the half million people living with epilepsy in the UK. They just go about this in very different ways!
Dianne Flatt, Epilepsy Action's fundraising manager, said: "We're appealing for people across the nation to get 'out in the open' by holding sponsored walks in their area. If the great outdoors isn't your thing you can also have a great night in by hosting a meal for friends and family. Between these two events there's something for everybody, so no excuses - get your walking boots on or your cooking utensils to the ready!"
To take part in 'Out in the Open' on Sunday 17 May, people can either organise their own walk or join in with someone else's. To organise one, you just need to decide how long, short, tough or easy it will be and how many people you want to take part. The next step is to register your walk with Epilepsy Action, decide where it's going to take place and persuade all your friends and family to join you!
To get involved in The Big Eat (17-23 May), simply decide what delicious meal you are going to treat your lucky guests to. You could do a breakfast, brunch, a light lunch, or an all-out three course feast - the options are endless! Then, register your interest with Epilepsy Action, set a date, invite your guests, and get cooking!
If you fancy taking part in either of these fabulous events, register your interest online at www.epilepsy.org.uk/involved/indexevents. Alternatively, call the fundraising team on 0113 210 8800 to receive exclusive organiser's packs.
Epilepsy Action has a huge variety of fundraising events you can get involved in. These events can be a fun and exciting challenge with the added bonus of making a difference to people living with epilepsy.
