Edenfield and District Horticultural Society

Formed in 1914, Edenfield and District Horticultural Society continued through both World Wars and is now 150 members strong.
Edenfield and District Horticultural Society organises two shows each year - this year they fall on 9th August and 27th September - in addition to plant sales. Every second year they also organise a garden trail, giving you the chance to view some of the delightful gardens in the area.
The Society works hard to ensure that Edenfield has a pleasing environment. Four years ago the Society restored the memorial garden on Market Street, enabling it to be used daily by residents. In recognition of those who fought in the War, a commemorative stone was placed in the garden, and each year an Armistace Day service is held there. In order to maintain the garden, each of the committee meetings begins with the attendees weeding the garden to ensure that it continues to be asthetically-pleasing.
