Get Fit, Get Muddy and Get Rid Of Landmines

Manchester's Nobel Peace Prizewinning charity MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is signing supporters up to get wet and very muddy in a high-octane challenge.
On Saturday 24 October 2009 MAG will team up with British Military Fitness to put people through their paces and raise some vital money for MAG's life saving clearance work worldwide.

A fundraising run with a difference, this cross-country event will see brave runners face hills, trees and ditches, as well as some more sinister obstacles, before reaching the finish line.
The race will be held on MOD land at Holcombe Moor, close to Ramsbottom, with prizes for the fastest male and female runners.
Lesley Achim, MAG's Events Officer said: "Root out your old trainers, kiss goodbye to dry feet and get stuck into this event. Yes it will be wet and yes you will get covered in mud but it will be very challenging and way more fun than your average run round the block!
"So sign up to do something a bit different, the money you will raise will be vitally important to the people who we help all over the world."
Please visit www.maginternational.org/getinvolved for information on how to register for the run.
