Fundraising Run on Holcombe Moor

Despite the awful wet and cold weather 43 people took part in the run in support of Mines Advisory Group (MAG) on Saturday, with more than 400 runners taking part in total.
Warming up for the fun run on Holcombe Moor
Lesley Achim, MAG's Event's Officer said: "Even though we got very wet and seriously cold I can honestly say everybody really enjoyed this event and despite it looking quite brutal it was great fun! You could tell by everyone's smiles at the end that they really felt they'd achieved something, and took part in something very different. I want to thank everyone who took part in support of MAG for braving the weather for a really good cause, and an ace morning out. I hope they didn't take too long to dry!"
Runner braves the elements
Louise Bell, Events Manager at British Military Fitness said: "All the participants in the event seemed to have a great time and the weather certainly made the course more challenging! It was great to see so many people running on behalf of MAG and we hope to see them at our BMF classes in Manchester and if not then definitely at next year's event."
