Love it or hate it, Scout Moor Wind Farm is nearing completion, with some turbines already generating electricity.

The largest on-shore wind farm in the country is visible on just about every approach to Rossendale, and from as far afield as areas of Manchester.
There are a number of walking routes to reach Scout Moor Wind Farm, but parking opposite Owd Betts on Edenfield Road probably provides the easiest access. There are currently no restrictions regarding how near to the turbines you can walk, meaning that you are able to truly appreciate the magnificence of these feats of technology.

By the very nature of the location of Scout Moor Wind Farm, your efforts to reach the wind farm itself are rewarded with fabulous views.
