There are a number of walking routes to reach Scout Moor Wind Farm, but parking opposite Owd Betts on Edenfield Road probably provides the easiest access.  There are currently no restrictions regarding how near to the turbines you can walk, meaning that you are able to truly appreciate the magnificence of these feats of technology.

I really love these pictures - they are fascinating to view. Love it or hate it - the more we have these the less we have to depend on expensive souces of energy. It is such a pity that the government has earmarked only 15% of energy to come from such wind farms I beleive?
Nuclear Power is creeping into the future picture - what do we prefer - wind farms - off shore and inland or a legacy of nuclear waste for eternity
