Flu Vaccinations

If you are aged 65 or over, statistics show that you are in the age group that is most likely to die from influenza.
If you develop flu you are more likely to require hospital treatment than those aged under 65.
It's worth remembering that flu vaccinations are available free of charge to those aged over 65. Please contact your doctor's surgery for further information around October/November.
Remember - the flu vaccination varies each year as it is developed to fight the strain of flu that is expected to be present during the forthcoming winter. As such it is essential that you have the flu jab annually to ensure that you have the best possible protection.
