Ski Taster Session at Ski Rossendale

I am writing to thank you and AboutMyArea BB4 for the super prize of the Ski Taster Session at Ski Rossendale.
Because of my advancing years and aching bones I donated the prize to two of my grandchildren Rebecca and Natasha.
What a super time we all had. We were welcomed by name at reception and then were shown into the equipment store where the kids were weighed and measured so that suitable boots and skis could be matched up and then, after strapping on the boots, and joining eight other ‘apprehensive' prospective Winter Olympians of various ages the class was introduced to the instructor and on to the Nursery Slopes.
Despite one of the coldest evenings of the Winter the 45 minute lesson was great, the instructor superb and at the end of the lesson the class had completed many runs down the slope both forwards and ‘amazingly' backwards even doing some little jumps and exercises on the way down. It was a pleasure to see 10 rosy cheeked youngsters all laughing with excitement and pleasure, despite the 5 degrees of frost outside.
A super evening for participants and spectators alike. Congratulations Ski Rossendale and thank you AboutMyArea.
Many thanks to Gerald Hems for providing this review of the Ski Taster Sessions at Ski Rossendale.
