Rossendale Valley JFC entertained local neighbours Haslingden Juniors in a very keenly contested friendly for the Under 8 age groups.

Rossendale Valley took a 1st half lead with a terrific individual goal from Dillon Massey. Great tackling in defence by Ryan Bateson helped to keep their lead intact until half time.

With time running out in the 2nd half Rossendale Valley goalkeeper Oliver Cameron made a great save but was unable to stop the follow-up shot from the rebound which gave Haslingden Juniors a well deserved draw in a very sporting encounter.
ROSSENDALE VALLEY JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB ARE HOLDING FOOTBALL COACHING SESSIONS DURING THE SCHOOL SUMMER HOLIDAYS.
THE SESSIONS WILL BE HELD OVER A 6 WEEK PERIOD FOR 5 - 14 YEAR OLDS.
Week 1 is from 23rd - 27th July 2007
Week 2 is from 30th July - 3rd August
Week 3 is from 6th - 10th August
Week 4 is from 13th - 17th August
Week 5 is from 20th - 24th August
Week 6 is from 28th - 31st August
TIME: The day will start at 9.30am and finish at 4.00pm
AM session finishes at 12.30pm
Lunchtime approx. 30 minutes
PM session starts at 1.00pm
You can choose half weeks/full weeks/1-6 weeks
AGE GROUPS: 5 to 14 year olds.
COACHES; Fully qualified/CRB checked/First Aid + Child Protection Certificates
DRINKS: These will be provided throughout the day.
COST: £10 per full day or £45 per full week.
£25 for 5 "Morning" or 5 "Afternoon" sessions per week.
PLEASE NOTE: All children will need packed lunches, a warm showerproof jacket, football boots and trainers and a change of clothes if you choose the all day option.
Coaching will take place inside and outside - depending on the weather.
