Towneley Hall and Park are excellent places to visit, particularly on a sunny day, and are right on our doorstep.
The Hall also includes a museum and art gallery, there are original period rooms and a Victorian kitchen, and servants` dining room.
With the exception of the top floor there is a lift to each floor, and there are also toilets with seperate baby changing facilities.
A new bus service has been launched to ferry visitors from Burnley town centre to the Hall and Park - and it`s FREE !
The Towneley Shuttle runs every hour, on the hour, between noon and 4.00pm, from the bus station.
At Towneley it operates within the park, shuttling passengers between Towneley Hall and the riverside car park around every 10 minutes.
The bus returns from Towneley Hall to the bus station at 10 minutes to the hour, the last one being 4.50pm. The service will run until August on weekends, Bank Holidays and Tuesdays during school summer holidays.
The service is part of Towneley Park`s £3.2 million Heritage Lottery Fund restoration programme.
