Located close to the centre of Ramsbottom, Nuttall Park offers a range of facilities.
With the East Lancashire Railway running alongside, Nuttall Park, Ramsbottom is perfect for anyone wishing to take a stroll or make use of the facilities offered.
For 2007/08 Nuttall Park, Ramsbottom has been awarded the Green Flag Award. The Green Flag Award is a national award presented to the best open spaces in the country. In order to qualify for the Award, a park needs to score well against eight criteria, which include being safe, healthy and secure and a commitment to conservation and heritage.
Sports Facilities
Nuttal Park, Ramsbottom offers a range of sporting facilities, which include two tennis courts, two bowling greens and a football pitch. The park also offers a National Cycling Route and opportunities for river fishing.
For Children
Children are invitied to make the most of the play area, located next to the car park, which has ample facilities to keep them entertained for a considerable length of time.
Nuttall Park also works with local schools to offer activities that complement the National Curriculum.
Walking
Nuttall Park offers ample opportunities for walking and, indeed, Health Walks accompanied by the Park Ranger are arranged on a monthly basis. Full details of when these walks take place can be found on this website's calendar which is located on the left hand side of each page.
