What is Next Generation?
Next Generation offers a free and confidential service to anyone who is affected by drug use and/or alcohol problems, that is unique within the Hinckley & Bosworth area.
The work of the project particularly targets those young people between the ages of 13 - 25yrs old who are at risk, vulnerable or considered disaffected from mainstream society. Next Generation offers a variety of emotional and practical support that empowers young people to make decisions, enabling them to progress towards independent living and a positive quality of life.

- Employment and Training Services including Self Esteem & Anger Management Workshops
- Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service (which include Assessment, Counselling, Needle Exchange, Referral and Alternative Therapy Clinic),

- Free Pregnancy Testing
- Sexual Health
- 637 Mobile Outreach Project
Where are the Next Generation team located?
What makes Next Generation unique to the Borough, is that we are able to offer a range of services, thereby adopting an holistic approach to the needs of the individual young person, delivered from a purpose designed building in a town center location.

The 637 Mobile Outreach Project
For those young people in rural areas who cannot access the building the project operates the ‘637' mobile outreach double decker bus. The ‘637' delivers youth issue based sessions, and is fully resourced with educational materials. The bus also has a range of sports equipment an x-box, TV. and music to enable young people to have fun and meet new friends.
Links and Fundraising
The Next Generation project staff have strong inter agency links and partnerships with local agencies, both statutory and voluntary who are increasingly grateful for and often reliant upon the expertise and knowledge in their specialist fields. As with any Voluntary Sector organisation, Next Generation is no exception when it comes to the need for extensive fundraising in order to continue the services and develop the project.
