BURBAGE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
Working In Partnership To Reduce Crime.
July 2007 Circulation 5570
Folks,
Here is a few simple steps that will help create a safer place to live ,work and play.
Get to know your neighbours - their cars - their jobs and routines.
They may want you to help make their homes less attractive to the opportunist thief if they are out by:
- Removing post and newspapers left hanging from letter boxes
- Taking dustbins off the street when emptied
- Making sure deliveries are not left on the doorstep
- Watching for callers or visitors
When they are holidaying, make the house look lived in by:
- Drawing the curtains, switch on a light or radio in the evening
- Parking your car on their driveway during the day
- Tidying the garden or trimming the lawn.
A date for your diary, we are arranging an exhibition at the Millennium Hall regarding community safety on Friday 24th August 10 to 2pm.
Regards - Graham Davis
