ITN are making a brand new show for the Sky Arts Channel. The programme will be called Antiques House and contestants are being sourced.
Julia Burnett from ITN says:
We are looking for contestants to take part in our brand new antiques television gameshow for SKY ARTS: ANTIQUES HOUSE. Contestants have the chance to win antiques worth up to £1000 initially, or £5000 in the final. The show is also a national competition, and contestants will also compete to win a place in the final, where the ultimate winner will be named the best amateur antiques brain in Britain!
The programme should be a lot of fun to film, and we are very much hoping to attract people with a genuine knowledge and interest in antiques, so that we have the opportunity to showcase the many beautiful items we have on each week.
We expect to reach an audience with an interest in arts and antiques, and hope that some dealers may benefit from the publicity they would gain from an item on the programme. We would be happy to credit the dealer/ auction house at the end of the programme or show details of where to buy on our website. We are looking for dealers to come on board to help provide genuine antiques for our programs. We are looking for interesting antiques to feature from the Georgian, Victorian, Pre War and Post War periods; i.e. Valuable and/or with a history/story of interest.
The programme will also feature collectors and their collections, so it would be great to be put in touch with anyone with large or interesting antique collections - for this section, we are literally interested in all manor of interests, from antique jewellery, to dolls, spoons, star wars figures - you name it!
