The life-saving equipment -a defibrillator - can enhance the chances of survival should a player experience cardiac arrest on the playing field. The Craig Hodgkinson Memorial Trust, set up by John and Diane Hodgkinson are hoping the equipment could help save a life. Their 27 year old son, Craig, died from cardiomyopthia while playing rugby.Training in the use of this vital piece of equipment will be provided free of charge by the North West Ambulance Service which has been instrumental in helping to facilitate the purchase of the defibrillator. The Hodgkinson family now live in Glasgow but retain strong links with Caldy Rugby Club.
